The good news is that we have all of the water we need — we just need to get smarter about how we use it. We’re building a movement from the ground up all across Texas, calling on Governor Perry and the Texas Water Development Board to protect our rivers and set aside more funding for water conservation<\/b>.
Saving our rivers and our water for future ge<\/b>nerations<\/b> is a big task — but we can do it if we all work together.
Join us at the campaign action meeting and find out how you can help save Texas rivers<\/a>.
With a $2 billion water bill moving through the state legislature, now is the time to act<\/b>. At the campaign action meeting, we’ll talk about our plan to build public support<\/b> by working with the media, reaching out to local businesses and organizations, and collecting hundreds of petition signatures.<\/a> We’ll also write letters to the editor <\/b>to start raising awareness in local newspapers.
It doesn’t take much to get involved. It can be as simple as talking to your friends or writing a letter. The important thing is to get involved now <\/b>so we can keep our rivers and streams–from the Trinity to the Guadalupe–flowing for our children and grandchildren.
