These plants naturally thrive in our summer heat with little supplemental watering. 2013 marks the 19<sup>th<\/sup> year of the popular <strong>Water-Wise Landscape Tour <\/strong>which will feature 19 landscapes throughout the Dallas area on <strong>Saturday, June 1 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.<\/strong><strong> <\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMore than 50 percent of the city\u2019s drinking water can be used on lawns and landscaping during the hot summer season. To help reduce outdoor use, City of Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) wants to show residents that beautiful landscaping and water conservation can go hand-in-hand,\u201d said Carole Davis, DWU Conservation Division Manager. \u201cThe Water-Wise Landscape Tour demonstrates that residents can \u2018go green by saving blue,\u2019 and keep their yards looking great while saving water, energy, time and money.\u201d&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>The annual Water-Wise Landscape Tour is a free, self-guided tour showcasing the best of the best North Texas Water-Wise landscapes. Guests can choose their own route and visit as many landscapes as they like. Lawther Drive, Dallas, 75218 <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>North Headquarters<\/strong>: Les Lacs Linear Park, 3901 Beltway Drive, Addison, 75001 <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>South Headquarters<\/strong>: Lake Cliff Park, E. Colorado Blvd. &amp; N. Zang Blvd., Dallas 75203 <\/p>\n<p>Each of the tour headquarters will serve as the site of \u201cMicroTalks\u201d where attendees can learn how to apply water-wise techniques to their own landscapes. The free 30-minute \u201cMicroTalks\u201d will be taught every hour on the hour by the Dallas County Master Gardeners.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>The Water-Wise Landscape Tour is hosted by<strong> <\/strong>Dallas Water Utilities, City of Dallas Storm Water Management, City of Dallas Park and Recreation, Texas A&amp;M AgriLife Extension, the Dallas County Master Gardeners and the Town of Addison. <strong><\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>The first 100 visitors at each of the three headquarters will receive a free hose nozzle.
