The Lake Champlain – TMDL
The State of Vermont has been the Green Mountain State for a long time. Unfortunately, it’s becoming the green lake state as high levels of phosphorus have led to algae blooms in the north end of the lake. The process has gone back and forth with the EPA and the State for years. It was big news when I was making my transition from Dallas TX to Castleton VT. I attended a TMDL presentation at the Vermont Law School in Royalton, VT. State and Nationally known speakers were in attendance as were speakers from the agencies involved for the State of Vermont.
